Phalaenopsis cochlearis

£16.00 (Sold out)

Phalaenopsis cochlearis is a small to medium plant with leaves that grow to 22 cm. The inflorescences are usually erect, then become arched, and can carry many flowers about 5 cmor more  in size, pale yellow. There are two brown spots on the base of the lateral petals, and brown lines run along the laddle-like lip. The spikes will remain green for a few years, and will produce flowers again from the same inflorescence, so it is better to keep old flower spikes on the plant for as long as they remain green and viable.

Phalaenopsis cochlearis grows at low elevations between 500 and 700 metres in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Plants provided as flowering sized in an 8 cm pot.
