Dendrobium auriculatum

£14.00 (Sold out)

Dendrobium auriculatum is a large sized species endemic to the Philippines. The pseudobulbs are long and thing, bamboo-like if you will, and produce flowers on the apex on the leafless canes in Summer and Winter. The fragrant, white flowers, have a very distinctive green basal portion of the lip, and are about 3.5 cm in size.

Grow this species in bright, diffused light, with warm temperatures all year round. Water well and keep moist from Spring to Summer, reducing water and fertilizer in Autumn. Allow a 3 months of dry rest over the Winter to encourage good flowering.

Plants provided as nearly flowering sized plants in an 8 cm pot.
